Once you have that, go back under the gate and walk to the upper right side of the room. Perform a Baby Drill to go underneath it and collect the Mushrooms in the next room. In the next room, you'll see a gate right in front of you.
There, go through another maze of smashable boxes and gates that you can drill under. Since there isn't any other way to go, jump onto the yellow square with the two babies to open the door to the next room. set up for you by using the Hammer and the Baby Drill moves. Make your way through the obstacle course that the Hammer Bros. Don't forget to go back to the previous stages and re-explore them to find the X marks on the ground where you can find Beans. This will allow you to go under gates and find those important beans. Press the Y Button twice to do a Baby Drill. By pressing the X Button, Baby Mario will do a Hammer Swing. Now, the babies can perform their hammer moves. Press the R Trigger to switch into the alternate move set. They turn out to be stand up guys and actually teach you how to use a Hammer. Jump when it lands in front of you to dodge it. Their other attack is a regular hammer toss. Leap into the air just as the ball is fired and you'll score a counterattack. When it comes time for their turn, they will attack by having one roll up into a ball while the other fires it at you. They'd be a piece of cake, except that Mario and Luigi get sucked up into a vacuum leaving the babies alone to fend for themselves. As soon as you go through it, the Hammer Bros.
